Sazka

Sazka Group ownership: 100%

Overview

Sazka is the largest lottery and gaming company in the Czech Republic, holding a 95% share of the lottery market. The company operates an extensive network of more than 7,250 points of sale with online terminals that provide both lottery and non-lottery services. Founded in 1956, the company is a traditional and iconic brand in the market.

In 2014 and 2015, Sazka was the fastest-growing lottery company in the world. This was a result of its successful launch of the Eurojackpot game, the expansion of its scratch cards portfolio and the rejuvenation of its traditional draw-based games. Sazka also expanded its non-lottery product portfolio, operating a sports-betting provider, providing financial transaction services and launching a virtual mobile operator, which is currently the 4th largest mobile services provider after the incumbent players.

Sazka is also an official partner of the Czech Olympic team and a major partner of the Czech Olympic Foundation. The company engages in various activities that boost children’s physical activities and supports children from socially-disadvantaged families or orphanages. Sazka also sponsors various classical music festivals.

In 2011, KKCG became a Sazka co-owner and in 2012 its sole owner. In 2016, Sazka was integrated into Sazka Group.
