Overview
Founded in 2000, SuperSport has grown into the largest sports betting company in Croatia. In 2010, complementing its retail sports betting network, the company launched its online sports betting offering. Its in-house developed, state-of-the-art sports-betting platform has enabled SuperSport to win a market share of over 50%. In January 2017, SuperSport launched a new digital gaming product, eCasino, and quickly became the market leader in this attractive and growing category.
SuperSport’s offering comprises online & retail sports betting, digital gaming, and virtual sports.
In April 2018, SAZKA Group became a strategic partner by acquiring a controlling 67% stake in SuperSport. This stake transferred to EMMA Group after the division of SAZKA Group’s assets between its two shareholders (KKCG and EMMA). EMMA then bought the remaining one-third share from the minority shareholder, thus becoming SuperSport's sole shareholder.
In 2022, EMMA Capital successfully concluded negotiations with Entain, the world's leading gaming company, for the sale of 75% of SuperSport. Both parties subsequently contributed their shares to a newly formed joint venture, Entain CEE, in which they hold shares in the respective ratio: i.e. 75:25.
