Overview

Profarm Group was founded in 1993 and over the course of its nearly quarter-century long existence, it has risen to the position of one of the largest distributors of pharmaceuticals in Greece. The company supplies 140 large pharmaceutical storage facilities and 1,470 pharmacies across the country. The Group is currently building a new, robot-automated warehouse with a distribution center that will allow it to better serve the Athens area. This project will also play a significant role in the company's growth.

The company's credo is to contribute to smoothing accessibility to medicines in Greece, and to further developing modern Greek pharma. The company's total sales volumes reached EUR 350 million in 2024, with an EBITDA of EUR 13.5 million.

EMMA Group entered Profarm in 2020. Under EMMA's leadership, Profarm made several strategic investments, including the acquisition of Elpharm (in the Athens area) and of Pharma Group (a network of three wholesalers covering the Peloponnese peninsula). Profarm Group also expanded vertically by investing in Integris, a niche company specializing in expensive medications for the treatment of rare diseases.

EMMA Capital currently holds a 56.04% stake in Profarm Group.
