EMMA Capital buys further 33% stake in Croatian gaming company SuperSport

EMMA Capital Group has successfully concluded negotiations with Danko Ćorić, a minority shareholder of gaming company SuperSport, to buy out his 33% stake. EMMA Capital thus becomes the dominant owner of SuperSport with a 98.45% stake.

The buyout of Mr. Ćorić's stake was carried out in accordance with the agreements concluded after EMMA SuperSport’s majority stakeholder, following the earlier division of SAZKA Group’s assets between KKCG and EMMA Capital.

“Cooperation with Mr. Ćorić has always been excellent, we have developed a very friendly relationship and we are considering further joint projects,” Pavel Horák, Investment Director of EMMA Capital, commented on the transaction.

SuperSport is a leader in the Croatian sports betting market and also offers online games to its clients. It operates only in Croatia and is fully regulated. In 2021, it achieved a net profit of HRK 485 million.

The price paid by EMMA Capital for a 33% stake is based on, among other factors, SuperSport's results in 2021, and both parties have mutually agreed not to disclose it. The transaction has been approved by the Croatian regulator.
